To Dye For!

Debbie, Annie and I decided that we all needed to "touch up" our dye jobs so we got together and had a bit of a hair dying party. Here we all are with the dye in our hair, wrapped in plastic wrap. ( I hope Debbie's hair doesn't fall out since hers was on for almost an hour!) We got dye everywhere but the end results were good, none of us have obvious roots or purple hair anymore.
Here I am mixing up the dye, I did both Annie and Debbie's hair, they were so brave to let me do it. I think I look a bit diabolical in this picture.
Annie feeding Kylee while we dyed Debbie's hair.
And of course Landon is just the cutest boy ever so we had to take a picture of him. He hung out with us girls in the kitchen most of the time. Hopefully he won't suffer any long term affects from the smell of the dye!

A Fix for Grandma's

My mom was telling me today that I need to update my blog since it has been over a week since I have posted anything new. She is officially the "Blog Nazi". Anyway here are some random pic's, I took Camri swimming with the Duncan's and I just thought her suit was too cute. Grandma Sonja bought it for her and it was a big hit at the pool.
Here is that face we all know and love. I liked the top one becuase she looks so serious! The one below is her usual silly self. She got drenched by using one of those sippy cups that has the straw built into the cup. She loves to use it because she can actually get fluid out as fast as she likes, trouble is, she obviously cant get it all in her mouth at that speed.
It finally dawned on me why Camri STILL isn't sleeping well and is so irritable. During Sacrament meeting I was poking around in her mouth for something she picked up off the floor in the chapel ( gross, I know, I didn't do it) when I felt yet another tooth! Her top two teeth broke through earlier this week and it looks like some time last night and this morning another top right tooth came in. No signs of any other yet so maybe she will start sleeping again. You can see her other two teeth on top if you click on the picture to enlarge it. They are so cute!
Mom, I hope this gives you a temporary fix. We love and miss you too. ( and did I tell you she was growing or what?!?)

Busy Bee's!

I decided that Camri finally has enough hair to try to do some stuff with, so I tried to gel it and put it in a little curl. Steve didn't like it but I thought it was cute.
These pics were taken at VCU's annual bar b que, it was fun hanging out with friends and meeting some of Steve's classmates.
Me and Debbie with Kylee and Camri, they are so cute! It is so weird to me to think that Cam was once so tiny.
Annie and I hanging out at the bar b que. A couple of people told me we look like sisters. I dunno about that but she's a cutie so I'm ok with it. ( I guess I am officially the pasty sister!)

She's Thinking About It!

We have been thinking that Camri is about ready to take her first steps, she is not so sure though. She has been standing alone ( and bouncing while doing so), and cruising the furniture like a mad woman. We got this video of her seriously thinking about walking to Steve. The other pictures I thought were cute because lately, instead of playing with her toys, she prefers to sit on them like she is queen of the mountain. She is too funny. Tell me if you think she's close, I am a first timer so I don't know! Love and miss you all!

So Cute!

I just thought this was a cute picture of Camri trying to help Daddy study. She was jabbering like she was lecturing him and of course she kept looking at the laptop and pointing. Steve got a big kick out of it too, he thought it was so fun to have her be so interested in what he was doing. Steve's workload at school is starting to get more intense and I am starting to see why they call us wives "the dental school widows". I thought they were exagerating but after just the first few weeks and it only getting worse from here, I think that is just how it will feel. But we know Steve is working hard and doing just what he should be. Love you Daddy!

Aunt Andra!

My very old and dear friend Andra came down from Maryland to see us this last weekend, and boy did Camri love her! Andra is getting ready to move to Scotland to attend the University of Glasgow to finish her Masters degree. ( You go girl!) It was so good seeing you! We love you and good luck!

Welcome to Our Home!

Our bedroom is in serious need of wall decor! The only thing up right now is a calendar and a small picture of the Salt Lake Temple. We need to get something for above the bed but I am a bit stuck right now for ideas.
The master bathroom. I still need to figure what to put on the top of the toilet. Right now I just leave my ipod dock there. Any suggestions?
Camri's room is my favorite room in the house cause that's where our little princess sleeps and plays. It is such a beautiful room and I just look at all the gifts she's had from grandma's and great grandma's and other loving faily members, it reminds me of home and gives Camri comfort everyday.

Welcome to our house for the next four years at least! We are completely moved in, no boxes in sight! YAY!!
Some days Steve likes to unwind and play Camri some songs on our weighted keyboard.
Our Family room is the hangout most of the time, probably because the t.v. is in there.
Steve's t.v., his pride and joy. The entertainment center is a bit cluttered with Camri's toys. She loves to climb up and put her mouth on the glass and hear her teeth clank on it. I have to clean it about 12 times a day if I want it clean, it always has her slobber marks on it.
These are the stairs Camri loves to climb, and as a result of that, much stress for me.

Everyone has been asking me to send them pictures of what our little townhouse looks like so here are a few of the rooms. I didn't feel the need to post the small second bathroom, the messy office that doubles as a craft room, or the family room downstairs with it's ugly linoleum that is basically just overflow, mostly Steve's weights and my nail desk. Your not missing anything. Sorry the pictures came up out of order, I never proclaimed to be computer literate. Love and miss you all!!

I think Camri has her first crush, she absoloutely LOVES Andrew. He kept her entertained and laughing all night! The kids all had fun playing together too. Camri just wanted to keep up with Andrew and Landon, she was crawling all night trying to follow them around. It was really cute because you could tell she thought they were just the coolest kids around. For some reason they thought the stroller was the cool hang out, all three of them took turns playing in it at one point in the night. Why do we even buy toys with cool gadgets like strollers?

Happy Birthday To ME!!

Look at those handsome husbands! Are we the luckiest girls or what?!
The boys are twice as lucky!
Opening presents was pretty funny too, Matt and Debbie thought it would be funny to wrap my book in the new toothbrush box that all the first year dental students got. For a minute I honestly thought it was a toothbrush! Aren't they clever? ( or maybe I'm just a little slow?!)
I seriously couldn't get enough of little Kylee. She was just the most precious thing! I think I hogged her a little through most of the evening, sorry about that Debbie and Matt, but she's too cute!

As most of you know my birthday was on Sunday, August 3rd, I was feeling a little bit bummed since this was my first birthday away from home and all my family and friends so I thought I would throw myself a small birthday party! In attendance were Andrew and Annie Duncan along with their two darling boys Andrew and Landon, and Matt and Debbie Stafford with the newest and cutest member of their family, Kylee. We had dinner and a tasty chocolate eclair cake. ( I want the recipe Debbie!) Thanks so much to our good friends who came and made it such an awesome birthday!
