A Trip to the E. R. and Turkey!

It was hard to get Cam to hold still enough for me to take picture close enough of her stitch, but here's the best I could do. My poor baby fell and hit her head on our entertainment center about five seconds before we took her up to bed the night before Thanksgiving. The cut was small, but so deep you could see bone. So off we went to what must've been the slowest E. R. this side of VA. The doctors were very nice to her, and she did suprisingly well all things considered. She got a Popsicle afterwards after for being so good, and she even thanked the doctor for fixing her "Owie", and offered a nurse a bite of her popsicle. She is such a sweet girl. Despite it being a scary first time for us all, we have the feeling it won't be the last and are just thankful that it wasn't worse.
The day after the trauma: Turkey Day! We all love Thanksgiving and this year we feel like we have so much to be thankful for! It was an awesome day with our friends.
The spread

Kevin and Sam hosted yet another Fantastic meal! They made so much good food that we all had a ton of leftovers! Thanks again, guys!

Camri loved sharing her goldfish with Kylee.

Here they are munching some more...

All us girls, and Talyn.

This is Camri telling me to be quiet because her baby is sleeping. She is such a kick in the pants.

Can You Really Trust a Fortune Cookie?

Since my mom was out visiting and she always refuses to let me cook, we decided to have a little chinese food at our favorite spot, P. F. Changs. This was on the back of the fortune cookie I happened to choose. So the question is- Can you really trust a fortune cookie? I guess we'll see!!

Camri's Birthday!!

This is what we did the day before Camri's birthday, along with decorating a big Elmo cake. Thanks mom for all your work and creativity! It made it so much fun for the kids. I know we're all sick to death of Elmo.... But nobody more than you.
Since Camri is such a fan, we decided to have an "Elmo" themed birthday party. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us!

Camri's Cake

The birthday girl playing with baloons while we set up.

BIG thanks to this lovely lady for helping with the cake, doing the cupcakes and helping me set up for the party. We love you Debbie!

Our little family, getting ready for the big day!

She loved her Elmo cake and cupcakes!

The kids loved making the bags that would later hold goodies, including a bag of candy, Elmo bouncy ball and Elmo fridge magnet.

Making Elmo Bags for treats!

Camri with her Gram-Gram, showing off her craft.

Eating lunch with her little girlfriends.

Chomping on a roll with Daddy

Here she is playing "Pin the Nose on Elmo"

Here she is cheating at a game of "Pin the Nose on Elmo". Thats our girl. If you can't beat em'- cheat!

Mommy and Camri

This is "The Big Truck" from her best friends, Kevin and Sam Allred. Lets just say she loves them even more now. Camri loves trucks, and this is her first one!

Here is the baby Steve and I got her for her Birthday. She has been dying for it for months, so needless to say it was literally impossible to get her to open any more presents after the baby was out. She carried her around the rest of the party, and is still sleeping with it at night. She never leaves it out of her sight.

Opening presents at home, since she refused to finish at her party.

Presents, Presents, Presents!

Here is the dollhouse from Grammy Sonja.

Opening the book/drawing board from Papa Steve.

Talking on her new cell phone. Yet another cell phone. Ugh.

Camri feeding her new baby in the stroller

Camri's new "Big Girl Bed", and new bedding. I was so worried that she would have a hard time transitioning to a twin bed, but she has breezed through it. Now if only we could get her to potty train so easily.... Maybe after Christmas we'll try that risky business.

And the dresser to match. It has the most darling mirror that goes on it but there is no room for it until we switch rooms.

What visit from Grammy Carolyn would be complete without a crazy shopping trip to Gymboree?

A Small Update...

She was pretending to be a tiger here. I just thought her eyes looked pretty...
She loves wearing hats! Here she has on Steve's beanie. During the last couple weeks of baseball playoffs Steve was wearing his Yankees hat and she would say, "Go Yankees!" We get em' young around here, she is already a baseball fan!

Our baby is turning two in a little over a week. There, I said it. I'm coming out of denial. I can't believe how fast the time is going and how quickly she is growing! She has some new favorites, and some new obsessions, so I thought I would share what she's been up to. She is talking up a storm, suprising me every day with new phrases and words. Lately her favorite thing to say is, "Oh, crap." Whenever she drops something, or breakes something, or gets busted in the act of trying to break something, this is her go to line. If I say "uh, oh." or "Oh, crap" (yes she got that from me, but in my defense- it could've been a lot worse.) she'll say "No bueno." Her other favorite line lately has been, "I love it!". If you give her a new toy or a treat, thats what she'll tell you. Whenever we are in the car she will say, "Mommy, I wanna see a school bus." She is completely obsessed with the big yellow busses with the kids on it. Sometimes she'll get mad when she can't find any on the road, so I'll drive her through a school parking lot so we can hunt one down. If we are driving by a Mcdonalds she will ask for french fries and an ice cream cone. Without fail. If she see's the golden arches she will ask. I love this girl, she is so me.

I Love VA in the Fall....

Here are a couple shots out back of the apartment complex. I just love this place in the fall, it is so beautiful.

I love the fall colors. The leaves, the flowers, I just love it all!

Posted by PicasaThis was the coolest spider web! If you look you can see the spider in the upper left section of the picture. It kept crawling into the hole and back out. There must have been a dozen of them outside our house. While I don't like to think abut that many spiders taking up residence in our yard, I did appreciate how pretty the webs looked after the rain.

Halloween

Camri at the Trunk or Treat at the church

Here is Camri with her favorite friend Kylee!

Steve and I went as Yankee fans, I know, stupid costumes... but what can I say, we aren't creative. We caught all kinds of slack for wearing our teams gear, but they can all eat their words now! Goooo Yankees!!
