PInkalicious Party

Camri has had a lot of friends having birthday parties lately, and she has been highly anticipating her own party. Problem is, her birthday is in November. Not exactly around the corner. So, I decided to throw her a small friend party. Her favorite book right now is, "Pinkalicious". So thats the theme we went with. In the book Pinkalicious loves pink. She eats pink cupcakes and actually turns pink! (Camri thinks thats hysterical) So I made super pink cupcakes, pink frosting and pink decorations for the girls to make cupcakes. I sent pink invitations, which stated the girls should wear their pink clothes. I decorated the room pink, and all the food and drinks were pink. Camri came down and looked at the kitchen, fully "pinked" out and said, "oh, Mommy! It's so beautiful!" She was in awe. Talk about making all the work of a party worthwhile. It was darling. After reading the book to the girls, we decorated cupcakes and then the girls played and watched a movie. It was pretty low key, but I think the girls had a good time.

Evy mostly just ate the frosting. She is so stinking cute!

Camri

One of my two favorite models, my darling Camri. I love this picture of her. She looks so natural, and beautiful. You can tell this isn't a smile that I've bribed her for.

Fun in the Fountains

It's been pretty hot out here lately, so we decided it was high time to make a trip to the fountains at our outdoor mall. Camri loves playing in the water, but I was unsure if Capri would really like it. I guess you could say she certainly did. :)

After about two minutes hesitation, she jumped right in. The water kept spraying her right in the face, but she kept going back for more! ( She is, after all, a Clawson) She absolutely loved it!

And of course, my darling Camri had a ball:

Capri spent a lot of her time like this. She had a really hard time walking in the sand.

It was all fun n' games until Mommy put a veto on eating sand:

Camri had so much fun at the beach! She loves to run in the waves and play in the sand:

Camri First Fieldtrip!

Camri's preschool went on a field trip to the zoo last month, and Camri was so excited to go with her teacher Ms. Mel. It was the perfect day for the outing, not too hot and miraculously, no rain!

Here she is with Ms. Mel looking at the prairie dogs:

And Capri got to go too:

I usually have a "No Cheesy Self Portrait" Policy, but I couldn't resist that sweet face next to me!

Both Camri and Capri enjoyed feeding the animals. I'm a little surprised Capri didn't get bit though, she was sticking her fingers right in the animals faces...

IMG_0088ps

Capri was seriously fascinated by this camel. She kept breaking free from me to go back to it. She had to pick the animal that spits... Yuck.

She was really more interested in the rocks than feeding the birds, but I tried:

Camri loved feeding the birds. She went through 4 feed sticks.

She also loved the train ride:

But she kept wanting it to go faster. :)

And of course, tradition calls for a snow cone:

Since I had a primary meeting (Yay for new callings!), Steve drove down after he was done doing his research and took Camri for the last half of the day. Cam had so much fun. She really loves feeding the animals and running around. We sure love this girl.

Did I mention Camri has mad counting skills? I love this video, she is so funny.

Strawberry Patch

This year we decided to take the girls to pick our own strawberries at the Chesterfield Berry Farm. We had SO much fun, especially Camri. These were all the cool things that were there to do:

It was a seriously beautiful day. But, it did get a little hot after an hour or so in the sun.

Capri loved picking the strawberries, but mostly she loved eating them. I had to take several away from her because it grossed me out. They really needed to be washed, but I saw almost everyone eating them right out there in the field. Nasty! Still, several made it in her mouth and she was a happy camper when they did.

Camri: If there was an award for "Best Berry Picking", she would've won it for sure. She made sure to only pick the red, ripe berries.

Camri picked all these berries by her sweet self:

And she was darn proud too...

Next we fed the animals:

Then, off for a wagon ride:

Which both girls loved:

And when we got home (13.5 lbs of strawberries later...) we dipped strawberries in chocolate:

We also had strawberry milkshakes, strawberry pancakes with strawberry syrup, strawberries with sugar, strawberry sprite, etc... It was a delicious three days or so worth of strawberries before they went bad. I was actually surprised by how many we ate!
