More Pics of the Babe!

I finally got her to sleep so I could take a couple of nudie photo's! Now if I could just figure out this camera of mine...
If you tell her she's a pretty girl, she'll smile. Ok, maybe not everytime, but she has done it a few times for me. We love this baby!
Such a sweetie!
This little one just wants to be a big girl... She's always trying to hold her head up. I think she's afraid to miss out on any of the action.

Time With Our Papa!

Papa Steve came out to see Camri and meet Capri this last week. We were so sad to see him go. Camri loved every minute of play time they got together, and I even caught him holding Capri a few times! (He's a bit afraid of babies, thinks he's gonna break them or something) Mostly, him and Cammers played all day long. The morning he left Cam woke up and asked, "Where's Papa"? I told her that he had to go back home to Utah and her reply was, "Oh Nooooo!!" She was so sad. Thanks again for coming out, and for everything you do for us! We love you Papa!!!

Two Weeks Old!

Yesterday I took Capri to the doctor for her two week checkup! I can't believe how fast the time has gone! She is weighing in at a healthy 9 lbs 5 oz, measuring 21 1/2 inches. She's a big, healthy girl! We were a little sad to find that she does have acid reflux, but hopefully we'll be able to control her symptoms with some meds. The poor girl sounds horrible when she sleeps and is constantly spitting up. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the Zantac will help her. Otherwise she is still doing well! Camri is still loving her, and we are feeling truly blessed to have her in our lives. Enjoy the pics!

Children's Museum and a School Bus!

Her favorite thing at the Children's Museum is the awesome grocery carts. There are not a lot of them, so when she snags one she guards it with her life!
Is there anything more handsome on a man than a 10 day old baby? I don't think so.
Capri loved hanging out in the Baby B'jorn. Love that thing!
The inside of the school bus. Not very exciting to us, but Camri sure loved it!
As most of you know, Camri is completely obsessed with School Buses. She watches for them while we drive and happily announces everytime she see's one. After the we played at the Children's Museum, she noticed the school buses outside the museum. There was a driver sitting in it waiting for the school kids, so we asked if Camri could take a little tour of the bus. She loved it! She kept singing about being on a school bus. The hard part was getting her out of the bus! She has been saying she will ride the school bus to school when she gets bigger. So cute!

We Miss You Grandma!

Yesterday we took our Grandma to the airport and home she went. Sadness. I just wanted to let her know that we appreciate everything she did for us while she was out here. There were too many things to name them all. As always, we did way too much shopping and eating out, generally having too much fun while she was here. Here she is getting some snuggle time with Capri, and playing at the children's museum with Camri. She is such a good grandma and a wonderful Mom. I'm so glad we got to spend Mother's Day together, and of course she was there for the birth of our second daughter- what a wonderful time we've had. Love you Mom!

One Week Old. Already!

We just can't believe that she has already been with us for a whole week! The time goes by so fast, I just know she'll be walking and talking if I turn my back too long.
Bright eyed as could be. Her eyes are a rare treat to see, all she wants to do is sleep.
And she's back out...
Camri loves her little sister, sometimes a little too much...

Sweet Capri

Capri has the longest toes I have ever seen on a baby. I don't think this picture really does their justice. Steve keeps getting mad at me for saying she has monkey toes, but really- Look at those things!! We love them!

A little update on Capri: I took her to the doc today because she has some eye junk that needed medicine, and when they weighed her we couldn't believe it! She is now weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs 12 oz! Thats up 10 oz in four days since her last appointment. Needless to say she is a great eater! She has been a great sleeper the last couple of nights too. Last night she went to bed at 9:30p.m. and didn't wake up until 2 a.m. when I woke her. (Breastfeeding moms will know why I woke her...) I then battled to get her awake enough to eat and back out she went until I woke her again at 6. I keep thinking my good luck will run out anytime now, but so far I'm just trying to enjoy the extra z's. She is such a sweet baby, we all just love her. She brings such a complete feeling to our family. Wish everyone could be here to enjoy her with us... Love to all our family back in Utah.

Just the three of us. We sure wish Camri could have been there for this picture.

Here is a little video taken just moments after
birth.

On Sunday, May 9th ( which was also Mothers Day!) we checked in to the hospital to begin an induction. By about 9:30 p.m. I had a foley bulb placed to help me dilate ( Hope this isn't too much info.) Right after that the contractions began, and around 2:30 I was given Pitocin and thats when they really began to hit me! I was breathing through contractions until about 7 a.m. when I had my lovely epidural, that worked for about an hour, then gradually stopped being so lovely. They tried to fix it but by then I was ready to start pushing.(We waited forever for the doctor to get in, thats why there is such a gap between being fully dilated and me actually having the baby.) Capri was born after about ten minutes of pushing. At 12:51 our little angel was brought into the world, weighing in at a whopping 8 lbs 5 oz, 20 3/4 inch long! We are so thankful for her, she has been such a sweet baby, (so far...) and a wonderful addition to our family. Camri is thrilled to be a big sister and loves Capri. She is always wanting to hold and kiss her. Camri has been struggling with the change of routine and is acting out, but we are hoping that she will adjust soon. We are so thankful for everyone's prayers and help so far.
