Arlington Cemetary

Here is Camri at the burial sight of John F. Kennedy.
This is how Camri got around since the cemetary was not stroller friendly. Good thing we brought the guns with us! Steve carried her all over, what a good sport!
The front of the Tomb of the Forgotten Soldiers.
Here we are in the Tomb of the Forgotten Soldiers. We loved the architecture, it was gorgeous!
Here is the Tomb of the Forgotten Soldiers. It was so beautiful, we got to see the changing of the guards ( a little boring, I hate to admit!) and we walked around the "tomb". Just beautiful.

While in D. C. we went and saw some sights, Arlington Cemetary was one that I really wanted to see so we saw it and it sure didn't disappoint! I couldn't believe how huge it was, we only got to see a couple of the things in it because we didn't have all day to spend there. If you are in D. C. and like history, this is the place for you!

Washington D.C. Temple

Are these the cutest boys or what?! Andrew and Landon in front of the temple.

The Washington D. C. temple.

We were lucky enough to finally make it out to the D. C. temple this last week, with the help of our wonderful friends, the Duncan's. After a long ( and perilous!! Right Annie?!?) drive to D. C. we took turns watching the kids so we could each do a session. It was honestly just so beautiful! It took my breath away to see it, inside and out! If you have not made it out to see it, you need to. It is amazing. We had a great time with Drew and Landon while Annie and Andrew did their session, they are just the most darling boys. We went and looked in the visitor center and around the beautiful grounds. After we went to the temple we all stayed the night at Jan and Bill Tingey's house. They were such gracious hosts, and we were so thankful for them! I wish I would've thought to take pictures of their beautiful house! We loved it, and Grandma Jan made us her famous french pancakes! Thanks guys, your the best!!

Virginia Beach Part Two

Camri actually seemed to like the water this time around. She played in it and waited for it to get to her. She would see it coming and start squealing with excitement. The few times she got it in her mouth though she made a terrible face. The water is so salty and nasty tasting!
Here I was after trying to get Camri to give up the mouthful of sand she'd just snuck by me. She is so darn quick!!
Annie, Debi, Sam, and I were playing in the water and having a grand old time. The water was actually quite warm once you got in it.
Here we are getting slammed by a wave. Annie was the only one who didn't get knocked out.

So we went to Virginia Beach again since Steve had the week off for fall break. It was a ton of fun, and we all got some sun. Camri got it around one eye, some on top and some on the bottom. It looked like we gave her a shiner. Ugh. Steve, however, got it in spots. We have that wonderfully convenient sunblock that sprays on, and after I sprayed it on him I asked if I should rub it in and he said no, (for the record) so I take no part in liability. Check out our family picture on the beach and you can see a little of it on his right arm. I just got it everywhere else. I have never had a burn on my legs before, but I don't recommend it.

Her Latest Obsession...

For some odd reason Camri is totally obsessed with getting into my kitchen drawers, and the thing she loves to tear apart the most is my Ziplock baggies. I can't even tell you how many times I have watched her take the whole box of bags out, scatter them, and then slide around on them on our kitchen floor. She was having an absoloute hayday the other night, tearing all the bags out. We caught her on video and Steve and I thought it was hilarious. And here are some pictures of her getting into Ziplock baggies.

Jamestown With Pappa Gary!

Here we are on the ferry making our way over to Jamestown. We were blowing Daddy kisses.
Pappa Gary and Camri on the ferry. She loved the wind blowing through her hair. ( It also relieved some of the discomfort caused by the humidity! It was one HUMID day!)
Here Steve is pretending to be seasick. Apparently that happened enough that they had a designated "bucket" for getting sick in.
Captain Gary steering the ship!

Steve's dad, Gary, was kind enough to come out and see us while doing business in D.C. He took us on a beautiful scenic route and on a ferry into Jamestown. It was so much fun to see the historical sights, and boy did it make us thankful to have modern amenities! We were so glad that he came to see us!

Our Surprise Visit to Utah!!

Despite the look on Camri's face, she was happy to see Grandma Sonja, and Grandma couldn't have been any happier to see her either, it was such a fun reunion to see!
Camri missed the Clawson's family dog, Angel, she spent a long time playing with her through the glass door.
Grandma Carolyn took us on the Frontrunner and up to Gateway to do some SHOPPING! Thank you Grandma!

As most of you know by now, I totally surprised everyone in our family by taking a trip to good old Utah. Grandma Carolyn was missing Camri so she thought it would be fun to fly us out for a while, I thought it would be fun to not tell anyone and shock the pants off them. It totally worked! My grandma was the most surprised, and I got it on video. She is so cute! We made it out for her birthday on September 2nd and it was awesome. I love Surprises!!

She Walks!! Sorry Daddy!!

Before we left for Utah she took a few steps to humor Daddy but here she is really lighting up the dancefloor for the first time. Sorry you couldn't be here to see it Daddy! We love and miss you Daddy! We are so excited! Anytime now she will be even more trouble! Goooo Camri!!
