What We've Been Up To...

For some reason, Steve and I have had the itch to start packing. Problem is, we are not going to move until the end of May, so we need to do other things to keep our minds off our impending move. Here are a few things we've been doing:

FHE: We decided it was time for Camri how to learn to pray properly, giving thanks for our blessings, and then asking for things we need. So we knew our topic that week would be "Prayer". I've also been going through all my old cooking magazines, and getting recipes I like out of them so I can throw the rest out. Well, we stumbled onto a recipe for homemade pretzels and thought that would be a fun treat for FHE.
Camri loves to help us in the kitchen, but these were a little tricky for her so Daddy rolled out the dough for her.

She liked helping me put butter and toppings on the pretzels.
Here is the finished product of the pepperoni pizza pretzel. Looks pretty good right? WRONG! They were sooo nasty! It didn't stop the girls and Steve from eating them, but I thought they were horrible.

We were also lucky this month to have Papa Gary come visit us for a day! The girls had a lot of fun playing games and reading books with him. He even showed Camri how to do a puzzle.

Mommy and Camri also went for a date to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. Camri loved it, but she kept taking her glasses off. I had to put them back on her at least ten times. She had so much fun eating popcorn and other treats. I think she ate the whole time we were there!

The girls have been enjoying Friday movie nights. We take their couches from Papa Steve and get them in their p.j.'s and pop popcorn to watch a movie. They are such sweet sisters. Sometimes you will even find both of them in one couch, snuggling together. Love it!!

I know I'm going to get in trouble with G. G. for this picture. Capri is getting older, and naughtier! So we've been putting her in the corner for punishments. Much to our surprise, she will stay there!  Still, it makes me sad to put her in timeout. She just cries and says, "sorry".

Luckily, she bounces back from her timeout drama pretty quickly.

For Christmas we got Camri "Elefun", and we have been playing that whenever she can talk us into it.

Oh, and on Friday the 13th ( Sounds like a dumb day for surgery, right?) I had my wisdom teeth removed. It was all just fine, I had no problems with the sedation (unless you call shamelessly hitting on my sixty five year old oral surgeon a "problem"), and Steve even got to yank one of them for me. My recovery was amazingly quick, and relatively painless. Lucky!!
It was quite a month, we'll see what February brings!

I love Steve's pure look of glee with Elefun. haha. Priceless. Sorry those pretzels didn't turn out like you wanted. Bummer. It IS so sad to see Capri in timeout...she is adorable. Glad your surgery went so well. Good luck this week. Call me if you want to hang! :)

Looks like a fun and busy month :) I love the picture of the girls watching there movie and then the one with Capri in the corner, made me laugh. I always have to leave when I put my boys in the corner for nose and toes, because it makes me giggle. So glad too that your Wisdom teeth surgery went so well. Love the VCU dentistry shirt :) I seriously think Jan. went by too crazy fast. Glad that we are getting together soon :)

Oh I am afraid we have timeout with Ella just like that in a corner facing the wall many times a day! I also thought about taking her to see that movie as well but I think she would keep taking the glasses off as well but what a fun mommy-daughter date!

U look way too gorgeous to be having surgery! And Camri is looking so much like a big (beautiful) girl. So I guess I don't want ur pretzel recipe? Guess we'll just have to keep going to club mom for them then =)

Don't let her lie to you, those pretzels were DELICIOUS! A bit over-cooked, perhaps....but the girls and I loved them! (Well, as long as they were doused in marinara sauce...)
