More of Camri...

Her new hobby- getting into the fridge. The other day I took a shower after the gym and came in to find all my eggs on the floor, the milk out, the Brita water pitcher dumped all over the floor, and she was sitting in the middle of it all eating blueberries out of their container. When I asked her what she was doing she said, " Eating blueberries". Like that was all. I wish I would've had a picture of that... but she did it again, to a lesser extreme since she did this while I was folding a load of laundry. ( She didn't have time to do much damage.) She also thought it was awesome the other morning to dump out half a bag of Lucky Charms cereal all over the living room floor. I found her sitting in a pile of cereal, carefully picking out all the marshmellows. Moral of the story- I shouldn't leave my toddler unattended. Ever. Not even to use the restroom-

I think she looks like Steve in this picture...

Valentines Fun!

Steve caught this glimpse of Camri "reading" to her baby sister. He thought it was so cute, he had to take a picture. She really can be sweet. When I tried to help her with the story she told me that SHE was reading to Capriel, and that she didn't need my help. This girl is too big for her britches most of the time.
Playing in the primary room at the Mothers Group Valentines Day party. We think she will give some amazing talks in her time...

Reading a Valentines Day story.

Here is Camri with her cute pal, Dana. They got to eat some fantastic Valentines cookies. Yum!

Here she is decorating her Valentines mail box for the Valentine exchange.

Here she is eating the decorations for the Valentines mail boxes... Who can resist candy hearts?

Playing in the gym after the exchange...

Showing off her super cute Valentine mail box.
We had a fun Valentines day even though we didn't do much. Steve and I aren't really big on presents for V-day. It is a very special day to us, however. That is our half year mark for our Anniversary, and it's the Anniversary for the day we were all sealed in the temple. We spent the day in church, and then Steve booked us tickets home to Utah for spring break. ( Cam and I will be our March 8th, Steve joins us the 13th, and we leave on the 21st, I think.) We celebrated Valentines day with some friends on Monday with a delicious fondue dinner. Hope everyone else had as much fun as we did.

You Asked for It!!

Warning: This dessert is highly addictive. It's one of those that you probably don't really want to know what all is in it. It's all bad, and by bad I mean sooo good. If your new years resolution is to drop a pound or two I would suggest bypassing this post.

Peanut Butter Cup Trifle Dessert
9x13 pan of brownies, cut into 1 inch pieces

5.1 oz instant vanilla pudding

3 cups milk

½ cup creamy peanut butter

2 tsp vanilla

8 oz container thawed whipped topping or make your own with real whipping cream!

divided 20 peanut butter cups ( I used more. The more the merrier right?)crumbled (buy in a 10-pack. Not the bite-sized)

6-8 peanut butter cups to garnish.

Combine pudding and milk. Beat for 2 minutes. Add peanut butter and vanilla, beat until smooth. Gently fold in 2 cups cool whip.Layer in trifle dish ½ the brownies, ½ the crumbled peanut butter cups, ½ the pudding mixture. Repeat. Top with cool whip and peanut butter cups. Shaved chocolate curls look nice too. Chill until serving. Go to the gym for the next six weeks for roughly 4 hours a day to burn calories taken in during consumption of this dessert. ;)

* Note to party poopers*

You may substitute with Low fat brownies ( Ya, they have those! Why would you buy them though? Really.), Free Cool Whip, reduced fat peanut butter, and sugar free Jello. I will try this next time so that I can eat more with less guilt. ENJOY!

More Snow... And a Fix for Grandmas

Cam told me she wanted to pick out her own clothes ( I believe her exact words were, "I CAN DO IT!!") and this is what she ended up wearing for the better part of the day. Dress up dresses are fun, and since it was snowing I figured it couldn't hurt anything. Is it just me or does she look six feet tall in this picture? Good night, our little girl is growing up.

I told Cam to put her hand on her cheek like a princess. This is what I got. Yep, thats my surley little princess.

I know this is lame, but I was so proud. I used to make home made bread all the time, but since coming to VA, I can' t get the stuff to rise! I tried a new recipe and a new brand of yeast and finally had some success. I know your thinking this loaf looks dinky, but I made a "small" batch, figuring it would fail (again). This loaf is probably triple the size it started as, thank you very much. It was also loaded with butter and cinnamon sugar. Heaven. Made the whole house smell like cinnamon rolls. I did a lot of cooking and baking this week since we were trapped inside because of the freak snow storms. I don't even want to look at a scale. Ugh.

This is how she got back up the hill. Good thing daddy's a sucker for brown eyes or she might've had to walk her laundry basket back up the hill herself.

Ghetto Sledding. Yes, that is a laundry basket that she is going down the hill in. How the heck was I supposed to know we'd get more snow in VA than we did in Utah? I didn't buy a sled. We improvised. Yes, I realize it's ridiculous looking. Camri didn't care. She had so much fun, laughing all the way down the hill, and asking daddy to do it again. And again.... And again.

Here is Camri showing off her rosy cheeks, nose and frozen hands. Good thing she came in when she did or she might have lost fingers to frostbite. ( Not really, what kind of negligent parent do you people think I am?)

Hello, delicious. Where have you been all my life?!? I made this fantasticly rich, disastrously delicious peanut butter cup trifle. It was amazing. Sooooo decadent. What more can I say? It was the cats meow. You'll want the recipe for this one.

Our fantastic friends threw and awesome superbowl party, which was blast. I should've taken pictures of all the food, but I didn't. They had a chocolate fountain, with just about everything you would have wanted to dip it in, buffalo wings, little smokies ( my favorite!), chips and dip.... the list goes on. And on.... And on. Here I am with the girls.
