Disney On Ice!

Camri kept seeing billboards and commercials for Disney on Ice, so Steve and I decided I should take her.

Here we are before the show

I promised Camri I would buy her one treat, and she asked for cotton candy. I paid $12 for cotton candy! Isn't that crazy?! I couldn't believe it.

Getting ready for the show to begin

The show was comprised of 3 stories: The Princess and the Frog, Cinderella, and Tangled.
Camri loved The Princess and the Frog music and dancing.

Mama Odie sang "Dig a Little Deeper", which is Camri's favorite song on that movie. She was so excited!

Cinderella:

Camri's cute friend Kelti. We sat next to them and they were the same age and had a blast together!

Tangled: This was really cool, they had an "aerial" portion for this story.

"I've Got a Dream"

I didn't have to zoom in on this one at all- Our seats were just this good. :)  We had front rink side tickets, Camri loved it!

We had a lot of fun at this show despite some technical difficulties when I lost our tickets and we couldn't figure out where our seats were. Camri watched the whole thing in awe, and told me next time she wants to skate with the princesses. :)

The Girls

So, a sad story. I was formatting my memory cards (also known as erasing all pictures ) getting ready for my workshop. I had one memory card that had pictures of our trip to the zoo with some friends, and Camri's first day of preschool this year. Long story short, I accidentally erased the card with pictures that needed downloading. Dang it. That's why we've had no new pictures up for a while. I did want to take some pictures of the girls to show how big they're getting, and to shut up family members who're nagging me about never blogging anymore. ;)

Camri has been working on writing her name at school. She is in the four year old class, even though she is only three, and we think she's doing great! She is picking up on writing so well, and can already write her name! Here it is in sidewalk chalk. Not too bad, aye?

My happy girls. I love it when they're in good moods!

Gotta love em'. I know we sure do!

Our Laid Back Labor Day

We couldn't really decide what to do this year for labor day. We had gone to the beach the day before, and ended up stuck in traffic for almost 4 hours on the way home, so we really wanted to stay close to home. Since we have passes to the Richmond Metro Zoo, we decided to check it out.

Here is Capri riding in style.

I love this little scrunchy face she does!

Feeding the fish, and turtles. Fun stuff.

The girls loved watching the tigers, who were pacing right in front of the window. Every time the tiger would come right in front of them Capri would let out a scared yell. It was pretty funny.

Camri absolutely loves feeding the giraffes! She usually goes through two cups of food, by herself, if we keep telling her to save some. She never does, and we almost always end up buying more.

Capri was not as big of a fan of the giraffes. If we got too close she would start to get really nervous.

This giraffe totally wrapped it's whole tongue around camri's wrist when she was trying to feed it. I LOVE her face in this shot!

Capri loves birds, so when we went in to feed them she had so much fun!

She thought it was so cool when the birds landed on the stick, then she would shake the stick and the birds would fly off. Luckily for her, the birds were ravenous that day, and they kept coming back.

 It's all fun and games...

Until the birds attacked Daddy! They were landing on Steve in groups, plucking his arm hair and pecking at his necklace. Oh, it was funny. Well, I thought it was funny.

Anytime we go to the zoo, it is tradition to get some snow cones. The girls were surprisingly good at sharing them. I thought it was kind of cute, since they never share anything. At least, not willingly.

And Camri loved spoon feeding Capri. Capri didn't mind either.

This was as close to the goats as Capri was interested in getting.

We had a fun day, followed by a BBQ with some friends. Pretty simple, but we had a fun day.
