Easter Pictures!

We had a week full of Easter activities, including an Easter party, and Easter egg hunt, and of course- Easter dinner with friends. My favorite part of Easter was getting to hide the girls baskets. Camri really got into it this year! She was so excited to find her Easter basket on top of the washer. I made her a super fun "Dora" basket. She has been obsessed with Dora, and I had a ball finding fun things to put in her basket. I got her a darling nightgown, socks, pen, notebook, lipgloss, and even little dolls- all Dora, of course. :) I loved seeing her little eyes light up as she pulled out one little trinket after another. Capri, well, she couldn't have cared less about her basket. Good thing, since I had no clue what to put in it. I put some bath balls, goldfish, and rice crackers. She was more interested in the grass in the basket, and had a lot of fun scattering it around the house. I love Easter for all the fun that it brings, but especially for spirit it brings into our home. Easter, to me, is all about the love that Christ has for us. Remembering the life, death, and the resurrection of the savior always makes me feel blessed, and loved by him.

Here are some pictures I took of the girls Easter morning. It's kind of a tradition of ours to take Camri's pictures on Easter, and this year it was really fun since it's Capri's first Easter and her first time getting Easter pictures. :) Neither one of the girls was very cooperative, but luckily, they are cute, so it didn't really matter.

Like Camri's "double chin" smile? I know we do.

This is quite literally the only decent one I got of the two of them together. They took turns looking and smiling in almost every picture.

Capri Walking

I feel like such a slacker. Capri has been walking for weeks, and I've not put a video up yet. Well, better late than never!

Sunny Days

We've had a week full of nice weather (well, mostly) and we made the most of it! We were out playing in the fountains, enjoying a day at the childrens' museum, and mostly just being outside! Camri had spring break, but we found a lot of fun things to do this week.

Here, Capri and Camri were playing outside the house in the neighbors little car. Capri loved it! I think she felt like a big girl in it. Since she is walking all over the place now, she liked pushing the car up the hill. I was pretty surprised when she successfully got it up the huge hill that our place sits on. She is Steve's child, but soon, she will be his lifting buddy. :)

I love how you can see all her teeth in this picture. She has 11 that are officially "in" and one that is working it's way out. Cutting molars has not been fun, but I think the last one will be through soon. Now, she'll be able to enjoy a good steak.

The girls have had a lot of fun playing together, especially when they're outside. They play so well together, so far. :)

This is what I call Capri's "Sumo Squat". She can squat like this forever! It's so funny! Sometimes when she's playing with a toy she'll sit in this squat. She is so big, we just can't believe it. She's wearing 24 month size clothes, and size 5 shoes. This girl is gonna be crazy tall, I'm betting.

Camri loves to dig and play in the dirt around the apartments. She especially loves digging for worms. Yuck. She has been such a good, happy little girl now that she can get outside and run her excess energy off.

Camri has also discovered her crafty side. She has been using scissors in school, so I finally broke down and got her a pair for home. Hopefully, no one will end up with a bad hair cut... But, she is having so much fun with them. She makes picture collages every day for Steve and I. She loves using my scrapbook paper and punches to make things. Oh, and don't you love the darling hair bows? They are awesome! My friend "Aunt Debbie", made them for Camri. She loved them because they matched her favorite blue skirt. Thanks Deb!

Clawsons Come to Town

We were so excited to have Grandma, Papa and Aunt Amy come visit us this last week. Camri was in heaven! We decided to take the girls to the zoo, and Camri and Amy HAD to match their clothes and I even did their hair to match. They were so darling! It was a beautiful day, and we had a ball feeding the giraffes and checking out the other animals.

Capri had so much fun getting to see (and be spoiled by) her Grandma and Papa. They haven't seen her since she was 2 months old.

Grandma Sonja took the girls on the merry-go-round. Camri loved it, as always. This was Capri's first time, and she didn't love it as much.

And still, a little apprehensive. :)

The girls had so much fun picking "flowers", AKA: Dandelions. They collected them into these huge bouquets, and liked blowing them all out at once.

It was snowing dandelions, and yes- she was catching them in her mouth. Gross, I know.

For her birthday, Papa and Grandma got this awesome toy for Capri. Here is Papa showing her how to work it. She loves it! Seriously, she plays on it all the time. She likes to scatter the blocks all through the house and push the train around the living room and through the kitchen.

We were all sad to see them go. Camri keeps telling me Papa is going to come pick flowers with her tomorrow, and we all miss Grandmas treats and sweetness. Camri really misses having Amy around to play with too, they had so much fun together. Luckily, we'll be in Utah in just a few short months and get to see everyone again.

I feel like I'm always blogging pictures of Capri eating, but look at this face! I love it! She is so cute, I just can't help myself. :) She has the funniest habit of eating with her left leg on the table. It's so funny.

Capri 11 months

I realize that I completely skipped blogging about her 9 month appointment... *Hangs her head in shame*

Here are the stats for her 9 Month Appointment:

Weight: 22 lbs 7 oz
Height: 29"
Head Circumf: 18 1/4

Ah, now that I don't have to feel bad about that anymore- I took her to the doctor last week because I thought she might be getting sick and she weighed 25 lbs! She is our BIG girl! Oh, how I love her! Just this last week she started taking steps (Yes! the chunk can walk!), and I think the record to date is still 6 steps without falling. We can't believe our baby is starting to walk! She is 11 months old today, and it's hard to think that in one short month we will be celebrating her 1st birthday. This week she started using more sign, too. She is signing "Daddy", "all done", and "baby", so far. I know she understands more than she is using, but we think she'll start doing more soon. We had an awesome visit from Gramma Sonja and Papa Gary this week, pictures to come. I took these pictures of her eating chilli, and I thought they were too funny to not share. She really enjoyed it. As you can see. She thinks she's a big girl, and that means she can feed herself. She gets upset if you try to feed her, so meals are usually pretty messy business. ;) We love this girl. And don't you just love the crazy hair? It's finally long enough to put in a small pony tail at the top of her head, but it never makes it through nap time. This is what it looks like for the rest of the day... if I don't fix it. Which I usually don't. Good think she can rock a mohawk.
