Harry Potter- Opening Night!

While we were in Utah we were able to go to see Harry Potter on opening night. It was crazy! There were so many people! Steve got up early to go get us all wristbands so we didn't have to wait for hours before the show, but we did wait about an hour to get in. It was an awesome show, and we had a ton of fun with Steve's  siblings. Thanks guys, for making the time to come with us!!

Utah, Clawson Style

We were able to spend a lot of time with Steve's family this trip out, and the girls had a ton of fun. Here are some of the highlights:

At the Hogel Zoo:

 Camri with her aunt Amy

Capri thought this turkey was pretty awesome. She kept signing "bird". Totally cute.

All the kids thought it was a blast putting their heads in the dinosaurs mouth.

Grandma Sonja was prepared with snacks at the elephant show

Capri was going crazy, and calling this animal "doggie!" I don't know what the heck it was, but it was certainly not a dog.

Papa Gary bought all the kids ice cream to help beat the heat. Capri thoroughly enjoyed it. :)

Grandma and Papa took everyone on a train ride, which Camri loved.

We also were able to go to Thanksgiving Point with the Clawsons:
Here are all the kiddo's.
Crazy, right? We were chasing kids all over. :)

Capri was too small to ride the ponies, so she enjoyed watching instead.

Camri LOVED the pony ride. We did the same thing last year and she was looking forward to doing it again. This year she rode a BIG horse all by herself.

On the hayride with aunt Jana and her cousins
Capri kept trying to walk around on the hayride. Not so bueno. Luckily, she didn't fall out the back and ended up sitting on the ground of the buggy.

Some misc. pictures from our adventures:
Steve and his mom always play gin when we come out. It's a game they've always played to gether. Sweet, right?

And here is the love/hate relationship between Capri and Kyle:
These were taken within seconds of each other. They had a lot of fun picking at each other and lovin' on each other.

And of course, the kids favorite thing to do: Watch movies.

4th of July Fun

We were in Utah visiting family for the 4th of July this year, and we had a ton of fun! the day started with Grandma Carolyn, and we went to the Farr West and Plain City fourth of July festivities, where the girls were able to enjoy a parade and see a lot of Mommy's old friends and neighbors. Next we were off to G.G.'s house for a BBQ. Here is Camri picking banana seeds off G.G.'s tree. This was one of her favorite things to do. She keeps asking me to go back to Utah so she can see G.G. and pick banana seeds.
Triumphant with her basket full of banana seeds.

Even Papa Steve got in on the banana seed picking

During the Plain City Fair they bring in a little pond and fill it with fish and let the little kids catch them with their bare hands. Camri loved it! With a little bit of help she cornered and caught this little fella.
Capri was too tired to stay up for fireworks so Camri and I went with the Clawson clan to see the fireworks together. It was fun getting some one-on-one time with her. We were playing with my camera and taking pictures of us with glow sticks in our mouths.

Steve hadn't joined us yet, so we really missed him this year at all the festivities. We still had a lot of fun hanging out with all of our family. Hope everyone else had a great holiday too. :)

Family Pictures.

Every time we come to town my mom makes us endure the grueling process of family pictures.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love family pictures. I just hate trying to get my girls to smile and be good for family pictures since it inevitably ends with girls crying and mom screaming. I was hoping this time would be different...

Ya, um... It wasn't. By the end of Capri's screaming fits, and Camri's insistence on looking away from the camera and proclaiming, " I don't want anymore pictures!", this was how I was feeling about the whole experience:
Luckily, my fabulous cousin Stefanie got some some great shots anyway. She was so sweet and patient with our crazy anti-photo antics. Thanks again, Stef. Your awesome!

I really like this one of Steve and I

This one of Steve and Cam is definitely going in her room. She really is a "Daddy's Girl".

Grandma Carolyn's Pictures

It's pretty much tradition to take pictures of the girls with my sweet Mama every time we come to town, or she does. This time, Capri was seriously cantankerous. Alas, we tried anyway, and here are the best shots:

I LOVE the ones of Camri and my Mom. You can tell they have a real connection between the two of them.

The girls had so much fun with Grandma Carolyn. We ate good food, had good family around her house, and the girls loved playing with her bird, Compass. Thanks again, for another great trip. Love you.
