Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas. Steve was studying for boards for the first week of the break, so the girls and I got to spend a lot of fun time together making crafts, playing Playdough, and making treats. Here is a couple cute crafts Camri made at school.

A "rudolph" hat with antlers. She loved writing her name on it and wearing it around the house. She loved watching the old school Rudolph movie, you know, the clay-mation one. Crazy.

We're still working on our letters.

Here is a cute little ornament she made for the tree. It was the first one she's made, so it will always be special to me. I was so proud of her. It went right on the tree when she got home.

Here is a random picture of Cappi playing with the Play dough.

We went with our awesome friends the Browns and the Furniss' to the CMOR to see the "Legendary Santa". This has been a tradition we have carried every year we have been here in Richmond, and the girls love it. Well not Capri, so much. But Camri loves it!!

Here are Dakota and Camri with "Frosty"

Capri and Santa didn't "click" this year. Maybe next year. Lucky for Capri, Camri was plenty willing to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas.

Capri was much happier to play at the museum, after traumatizing her on Santa's lap.

After seeing Santa we went to a house on the "Tacky Lights Tour" and saw a CRAZY overly decorated house. It was pretty awesome, I must say. I would not want to see his electric bill for the month of December!

Me snugglin' with my sweet baby, Teagan. Love that girl.

Here are the girls in their Christmas Dresses. Everyone kept telling us they looked like angels. :)

At the YMCA they had a "Breakfast with Santa". Of course the girls had to go. They had a delicious breakfast, Crafts, and of course, we got to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause.

Capri's scrunch smile. We love it!

Even with Santa only a few feet away, Camri wasn't worried about being naughty.

Here they are doing their Christmas craft

This is Jaden, Camri's swimming buddy. They love to hang out and play together during swim lessons and at other YMCA activities.

We were laughing at Capri. She was super scared of Santa, which for some reason we all found to be hilarious. Rude, right?

It's a lot of work to make Christmas eve dinner, but I really enjoyed it this year. We had ham, perfect potatoes augratin, stuffing, rolls, corn, and sugar cookies for dessert. It was so nice to sit and have dinner as a family, and to remember Christ together. We talked to the girls about the true meaning of Christmas, and the gift the Savior gave to us.

On Christmas Eve we let the girls open one present. It's always their Christmas p.j.'s. Original, right?

Freshly bathed girls in their matching jammies in front of the tree.

Next, we decorated cookies to leave for Santa.
Camri was in charge of decorating Santa's cookies...

Capri was in charge of tasting and quality control. :)

She took her job very seriously. Haha!

Next it was outside to leave Rudolph his carrot and oats. We always leave out a carrot for him, but this year we also left a mixture of oats and glitter for him too. The oats for energy, and the glitter so he could see the house. Camri loved it, and even capri seemed to enjoy getting out for a minute.
Yep, Capri even tested Rudolph's food. Only the best carrots for our reindeer.

It looks like she's using the carrot to defend herself, doesn't it? Perhaps a light saber?

Christmas Morning!!
Santa Delivers! Ok, more like Grandparents deliver!
Both girls went for the chocolate in their stockings first, but then were gladly opening presents.

We have been playing Hi-Ho Cherry-O for WEEKS!

 Capri loved her Elmo backpack.

Camri was a paper tearing maniac this year. It was so much fun to watch her open everything.
Even Capri got into the spirit and ripped open a few presents.

Capri got tired of opening gifts and went back to wanting to be read to all day.

Here is mean Mommy, trying to force Capri into putting down her book and open more presents.

 Love this little chocolate face.

The girls had a wonderful Christmas. We had some awesome friends over for dinner that night, and just hung around the house. What a beautiful year we've had. It was strange to think that this was our last VA Christmas. I know we are all excited to get to CO, but right now we are just focusing on enjoying the "now" more. Thanks to all our awesome family who made Christmas amazing. These are two of the luckiest girls on the planet.

WOW!!!
That was well worth the wait............
I must say that my favorite pic is the girls in the Christmas dresses where Capri is looking at Camri. You can see the love and admiration that she has for your sister. It leaves the pressure on Camri to always set the example.
While I have missed you terrible, I can tell you all enjoyed your Christmas together as a family! That is important too!!!
Love you all!!!

What a fun Christmas! Isn't it great to have family to spoil your kids?!? The student budget doesn't allow for much so that is why we have family!
