JAMAICA!
I can't even begin to say how much fun we had in Jamaica! Easily the best trip of our lives.
Here is the little cost that we got to go night snorkeling off of. The water was about 10-15 feet deep and we saw all kinds of cool stuff. We saw a huge sea turtle, a manta ray, moray eels, puffer fish, lobsters and more. It was super cool! I did end up getting a bit of nausea towards the end- but otherwise- AMAZING!
It was really fun to go out on the boat and watch the sun set before we went snorkeling.
We were also able to go Horseback riding through the mountains and in the ocean It was super fun!
Here we are, ready to ride.
These swings were fun!
And you couldn't beat the view!
Here is my beefy stud on his horse.
One of the days we took a walk on the beach in the afternoon. Big mistake since every afternoon it rained like crazy! But, it worked out since we met "Dynomite", who after offering us marijuana, hooked us up with some of the most amazing lobster I've ever had. He drug it in from it's cage in the ocean, killed and cooked it for us right on the spot. DELICIOUS!
YUM!
We did a lot of relaxing on this trip. We loved the hammock on the porch of our hotel room.
We had the opportunity to go on a catamaran cruise on night. It took us on a tour of the ocean and cliffs and caves. We even got to swim into one of the caves. It was really fun, but everyone on the cruise was totally drunk. It was entertaining... but a little awkward.
One of our favorite things was going scuba diving. I must admit, it was pretty scary for me! Steve loved it and was a total natural in the water, though. So. Much. FUN!!
We were so sad to have our vacation end. While we missed the kids terribly, we definitely needed some time away. The only drawback to our trip was getting stranded in Miami over night when our flight out of Jamaica was delayed. Luckily, we have the best parents ever, and they took amazing care of the kids. They went to the pool everyday, made treats everyday, and thoroughly enjoyed the visit from Grammy, Papa, and Amy. We live a blessed life, for sure.
