Camri's Birthday

This year we decided to have a family party. Grandma Carolyn and Aunt Ang came out for a special birthday visit. We had so much fun buying all the blueberries at Costco, shopping at the American Girl Store, and ending with a delicious dinner at P.F. Changs. Afterward, we came home and had an amazing Zelda Cake and ice cream. Here is the photographic evidence:

Titan loved hanging out with "Jang" on the couch, eating blueberries.

Camri will always be a "grandma's girl"

The super awesome Zelda cake that Daddy made, with the help of Mommy.

It was a surprise, and she loved it!!

Camri Turns Seven!

My little Camri doll turned seven this year. She grows in beauty and sassiness every day. How we love her!

Camri's favorites this year are:

Food: chicken enchilada soup
Movie: Frozen
Activity: Play Soccer
Subject in school: Reading
Toy: American Girl Doll and horses
Best friend: Avery Vogel, and Kendyl

Camri loves to play Zelda with her daddy, and can't wait for the next game to come out! She likes to  play dress up with her sister, and soccer with her brother. She loves to work out with her Mama, and has become Mom's favorite running partner. She is in Mrs. Sangster's first grade class, and loves all the friends she has there. Mrs. Sangster nicknamed her, Sweetness, because she says Camri is so sweet. Camri loves to read, and is at an end of 2nd grade reading level. She is so smart and wonderful! She loves to shop at the American Girl Store, especially when Grandma Carolyn comes for a visit. She still likes to dance ballet, but has been kicking butt in soccer this year. She played fall and winter soccer and is super excited for spring soccer to start.

Ten Year Anniversary Trip!

JAMAICA!

I can't even begin to say how much fun we had in Jamaica! Easily the best trip of our lives.

Here is the little cost that we got to go night snorkeling off of. The water was about 10-15 feet deep and we saw all kinds of cool stuff. We saw a huge sea turtle, a manta ray, moray eels, puffer fish, lobsters and more. It was super cool! I did end up getting a bit of nausea towards the end- but otherwise- AMAZING!

It was really fun to go out on the boat and watch the sun set before we went snorkeling.

We were also able to go Horseback riding through the mountains and in the ocean It was super fun!

Here we are, ready to ride.

 These swings were fun!

And you couldn't beat the view!

Here is my beefy stud on his horse.

One of the days we took a walk on the beach in the afternoon. Big mistake since every afternoon it rained like crazy! But, it worked out since we met "Dynomite", who after offering us marijuana, hooked us up with some of the most amazing lobster I've ever had. He drug it in from it's cage in the ocean, killed and cooked it for us right on the spot. DELICIOUS!

YUM!

We did a lot of relaxing on this trip. We loved the hammock on the porch of our hotel room.

We had the opportunity to go on a catamaran cruise on night. It took us on a tour of the ocean and cliffs and caves. We even got to swim into one of the caves. It was really fun, but everyone on the cruise was totally drunk. It was entertaining... but a little awkward.

One of our favorite things was going scuba diving. I must admit, it was pretty scary for me! Steve loved it and was a total natural in the water, though. So. Much. FUN!!

We were so sad to have our vacation end. While we missed the kids terribly, we definitely needed some time away. The only drawback to our trip was getting stranded in Miami over night when our flight out of Jamaica was delayed. Luckily, we have the best parents ever, and they took amazing care of the kids. They went to the pool everyday, made treats everyday, and thoroughly enjoyed the visit from Grammy, Papa, and Amy. We live a blessed life, for sure.

First Day of School!!

We had so much fun this summer, but as usual, it zipped right by and now we are back in school. Capri is starting her second year of preschool at Red Hawk Ridge where she is making a ton of new friends and working with her old teachers. She couldn't be doing any better. All of her teachers can't believe how much more open and receptive she is. We have only heard fabulous reports on how Capri has been doing thus far.

Camri started First grade this year! She is loving being in school all day with her friends. Her teacher, Mrs. Sangster, says Camri is a sweet, fun, and very chatty little girl in class. She too, has made a ton of new friends, but still plays with her Kindergarten BFF"s at lunch and recess. She is such a smart girl, reading way above her level and totally rocking in math too. She just started playing soccer, which is the coolest thing ever! She is a lean, mean, running machine!

Titan is back to being Mama's number one man. We do everything together including shopping, playdates, and lunch dates. SO fun! Love this silly boy and all the mischief he makes.

Independence Day Fun

I ran a 5K with our ward, then ran back home to take the kids to the festivites. They had a pancake breakfast ( we brought Capri GF pancakes), games, and a bike parade. Fun!

And here we are making out customary flag cake. We do this every year on the fourth of july, and I wasn't about to let being a "gluten free" house come in between that. I found a recipe and we made an (almost) delicious cake!
