Capri has never really liked tummy time. At about two weeks old she rolled over from her tummy to her back. We all thought it was just a fluke, but she has been doing in ever since then. Apparently, she hates tummy time more than most of the little ones her age. That or she is just more resourceful than most. She maneuvers her arms up ( like she is doing planks) and then kicks her hips up until her body goes over. It's kind of funny, she works really hard to get over, and some of the time( like in this video) it scares her and she starts to cry. The only way to keep her from doing it is to pin her arms underneath her when we put her on her stomach. Today was the first day I thought to capture the phenomenon. This little girl is insanely funny and sweet. She is even starting to smile! Hopefully I'll be able to get a picture of that soon, but every time I try she turns grumpy. (She may look like Steve, but she still has my disposition.)

Fun in the Sun!

Today for playgroup we all got together at a friends house and let the kids play in the pool, eat lunch, and enjoy the sun. It was super hot, but Camri sure enjoyed it. I really need to be better about getting her outside more. I'm still nervous about having a baby out in this heat, and poor little Camri is really paying for it. Capri was a good little girl and slept through most of the fun, tolerating the heat about as well as possible. We all had a blast today, so I thought I'd put up proof that we do get out. Occasionally.
Mommy and Capri

It's funny, but I never have pictures of me with my kiddo's. Ever. I guess we could chalk that up to me being the photo-obsessed freak in the family. My sweet mother in law took this picture of Capri and I. I love it, even if I look like exhausted and have no makeup on. Look at my sweet little girl. I feel so blessed for my sweet girls. Now if I could just get Camri to hold still long enough to get a picture with....
The Clawson Clan Comes to Town!

Amy loved holding Capri, and Capri didn't seem to mind it either!

On Saturday we decided to brave the heat and go to the Richmond Metro Zoo. We had so much fun, despite the humidity.

Camri and Mommy riding the carousel.

I love this picture of Camri and Amy! Camri loves her aunt so much.

Here the girls are in their matching Ariel shirts Grandma Sonja got them! Camri was so excited to match Amy!

One of our favorite things about this zoo is that you can feed the giraffes!

Capri's Newborn Photo's

Since Camri was beyond done with pictures by the time we got to the family ones, we really don't have any of her with us. So sad, so we're re-doing some family pics later this month. I wish I could've gotten her to cooperate, I hate seeing a family picture with out her, it just isn't complete.

Remember, I'm obsessed with her toes...

The cheesiest smile known to man...

I think this one (above) is my favorite shot.

We finally got Capri's newborn photo's back from the photographer yesterday! We really liked a lot of them, so here are my fav's. She was 9 days old when we had them taken. Camri wasn't really cooperating (imagine that!) so the pic's with the two girls aren't my favorite. I guess that means I need to take some of the two of them myself, aye? It's crazy to think how fast she's growing. She is in the 97% for weight, and is already 3 lbs bigger than she was at birth!

1

You might think this is gross, but I love her dry little feet. I can't keep enough lotion on them. She crosses her toes when she sleeps, just like I do.

Our little sweetie

She's so sweet when she's sleeping!

Have you ever seen more kissable lips?
Our little Capri is 1 month old! The time has gone by so fast, it's unbelievable! We took her into the doctor today to get some stronger acid reflux medicine (boo!) and I couldn't believe how big she's getting! She is 11 lbs 6 oz, 21 3/4' long! She is growing like a champ!! She sleeps really well at night too, now if she would stop making such awful noise so that we might enjoy it! Steve and I sit up half the night just listening to her breath, it is so loud and awful sounding. Poor thing sounds like she is really struggling, but it doesn't keep her from getting her beauty rest! Apparently it only bothers Steve and I. We just love her to bits, and Camri is doing so well with her. She is also doing really well potty training! We had some regression going on last week, but she is back in big girl panties, and accident free... So far... Today. :) We sure love our girls!

Love These Girls!
I took a Capri to the doc (yes, again.) due to some night time breathing problems and when he checked her weight, I almost fell over. My "little" sweet um's is weighing in at 10 lbs. 7 oz! What a chunk! I don't call her my little "piglet" for nothing! To show how big she is getting I took some pics of her next to Cam. See how she's growing?!
My pretty girls! Camri still loves to hold (and smother) her little sister. Apparently, the novelty hasn't worn off yet.
I'm not sure that I've mentioned this enough lately, but I sure love my little Camri. Here she is with her backpack. She was pretending to go to school yesterday almost all day. She would come and get her backpack, give me a kiss, and tell me, " See ya later mommy, I'm going to school on the school bus!!" I just love the way her little mind works. It does sort of freak me out, how eager she is to go to school and grow up. She is such a sweetie--when she's not getting into major mischief! We love this girl.
